    Mysterious Driveline Problems

Hey guys, Im about to the point where I want to burn my car. I love it, but it doesnt seem to love me!!

Ive been having a driveline vibration of some sort ever since I did a manual swap a few months ago. The shifter shakes annoyingly bad, its mostly noticeable in 3rd gear when accelerating, but still there in other gears. Buts its about twice as bad in third than any other gear. Its bad enough that it tore up a new center bearing and guibo in about 4000 miles.

So far the car has new motor and trans mounts and I just put in a brand new $400 dollar driveshaft of course with new guibo and center bearing also today thinking it will surely solve my problem, since the guy at the driveshaft shop told me my old one was pretty shot. Well, it didnt and now I am pulling my hair out:(

Does anyone have any ideas what else could cause such a vibration? Its obviously not the driveshaft as it is brand new and it still feels the same as it did with the old one. Any input will help and if you need more info just ask

    Thanks!

The symptoms point to the drive shaft, but I suppose it could be a bent transmission output shaft. Get the car up on a lift and "drive" it while watching the drive shaft. Since torque is factor, use the brakes to load the rear wheels while accelerating.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

ya i'm with Jim on this. I bet the transmission was miss-handled before installation. it could be just the output flange or the output shaft.
      Much wow
