    E30 325e Doesn't Start.. HELP

    Hi Guys,

My 86 325e has been in the wars as of late, just too give you a brief outlook on it's current issues, I have cut the catalytic converter out because the brackets broke, the left engine mount broke and consequently I bottomed out hard on the oil pan and that in turn made me take it out and get it welded, so now both the mount (bracket) and oil pan have been reinstalled, plus I have recently installed a performance chip however on the morning I discovered the oil leak the car started yet was unable to continue running and now after about a week of repairs I took all the spark plugs out and checked other bits and pieces before I started it up and yet it just failed to fire, I then got a mechanic out to look at it which resulted in it firing only momentarily before cutting out again, and then the mechanic gave me a few ideas as too what it could have been. One of his main suggestions was the crank angle sensor but could any one suggest reasons why the car would turn over but not fire?

I really need the car too be up and running in the next few days, so any serious suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

Check for spark and correct rail fuel pressure while cranking as first steps. If correct start looking for intake leaks.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
