    Electric Gremlin - Wiper switch?

So i replaced my wiper switch (with a used unit) because every once in a while when i would use my wipers (momentary, intermittent, whatever) the fluid pump would start pumping and the wipers would go at normal speed. it's like there's a bad ground or a short somewhere. all my other stalk switches work fine.

the thing is, i don't know where to look next. since i've replaced the switch with a used part, i'm not over-ruling the switch, but it seems like it must be something else. maybe there's water getting somewhere it's not supposed to?

    anyone else have this problem?
    thanks

Have you checked your wiper relay? I'm not sure if that coresponds to the fluid pump as well.

I would swap in a known good stalk and see if that solves the problem..

eh.. more evidence... doesn't happen until the car gets some water on it. sounds like a short somewhere.

        this'll be fun.
