    Should blower motor turn easily?

86 325es, got access to the blower to remove/replace resistor switch and lube the motor as it was howling, noticed it did not spin real easy by hand, it spun but would come to a stop pretty quickly, it that normal due to built in magnetic resistance from windings and such? Kind of rambling, but instead of a new resistor I might just shop for a complete "used" blower with resistor.
    Thanks.

It should spin freely and easily. I would say just get a new blower motor and resistor their pretty cheap

Thanks. "Pretty cheap" is a relative term. If you think 200 bucks is cheap. I'd prefer a used one for 50 bucks but I think I am not alone.
      Thanks again.

Haha that's what I meant by cheap. A used one in good working order
