    Skidplate issues mounting issue

Either I am missing something, or my car's PO is a bigger moron then I thought. My red46 Sump Armor skid plate showed up today. I got it bolted at the steering rack, but something isn't right up front. If i were to drill the holes they would end up inside the cavity on the front portion of the core support, not in the lip on the backside edge. I will get a pic uploaded in a little bit.

I don't know a whole lot about my car before it landed in my lap, but it is R-titled and a new support has been welded in, but not very well.

I have a feeling the replacement core was welding in in the wrong place, but that may be jumping to conclusions. If that ends up being the case I am gonna hunt that fucker down and piss in his morning Cheerios...

So the car had a 'rebuilt' title and something doesn't line up? I understand that it is a hassle, but isn't that to be expected?

Cut the Po's weld's and make the core support bolt in. I've seen other people here do it, it looks pretty straight forward.

Yea if the rad support is pushed back that's it won't line up. You can try to fix the tax support but my guess is it will be much easier to just drill new holes in the skid plate to make it bolt to the rear lip.
