    Factory alarm

When I bought my car the factory alarm was not working. None of the rmeotes had batteries in them so I replaced the batteries and still nothing, not sure where to start looking for problems.

Hi mate not sure about your cars over there but our factory fit alarms come with keys you put in to the back of the alarm unit itself to turn it on and off.

I think you have to program the fobs if the batterys have been out for a long time.
plus as simon says is it switch on?

FIRST I would make sure you have the control unit. It will be mounted in the glove box, by the ECU
If it's there make sure it's all plugged in and the fuse is fine.

Then remove it and open it up.

These alarms use chips to program the code, you can get them from the dealer in a pack of 3, one for the unit and 2 for the remotes.
