Another Blinking CEL/Poor Cold Start Thread

OK so Ive searched a lot and a lot of threads seem to do with the blinking "Check" light.

First, my car has a CEL light on and i havent been able to get the stomp test to work, not sure if because I have a 153 ECU or my TPS is out of adjustment/needs replacing. What I cant figure out is that when I turn the key on to RUN, the light blinks 3 times, goes off, and then comes on solid. Does it every time.

Second, I am having a cold start issue where the car will need to crank 4-5 times and will start every time, but will run poorly, stumble, then die. Opening the throttle will kill it. After a few tries I can hold the pedal down to rev it up, car warms up, and then runs great. When warm, it fires up immediately and runs great.

What I've done over the past 6 months:
    - New temp sensors
    - New fuel filter
    - Cleaned/oiled air filter (KAMotors
    - New thermostat last year
    - New radio this year
    - New plugs
    - New wires
    - Cleaned AFM
    - Cleaned ICV
    - Adjusted the TPS so it "clicks." - This I am suspect of, could it be out of adjustment even though it clicks?

    Any help would be great.

You have to have a 173 or later DME for the stomp test to work.

Hearing the TPS click doesn't mean that it is working. You have to check the switches with a test light or meter. Correct adjustment of the switch is for the idle switch to close when the throttle arm is 1mm off the throttle stop screw.

With the work you have done I don't see the most essential step when faced with starting, idling, or running rich/lean issue. Which is a smoke test of the intake.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
