Car shuts off while driving, help

Let me start by saying a few weeks ago I had a starting problems, so I replaced the cps and the CPU and the problem was fixed for about half a week. And now while I'm driving the car starts to rev weird , looses power and as soon as the car becomes stationary it shuts off . I've been reading some threads and it might be a relay but when I had the starting problem a few weeks ago my buddy swapped all his relays to mine and mine to his and the relays seemed fine then

Could be fuel related... but without more info, it's kind of like asking "what's in this box?" over the phone.

Another thing - check to see if your IAC is working fine. If not, that could explain the wacky revs and the car shutting off at idle. Not the loss of power though... like I said, without more details, it's all speculation. Give us more info and someone should be able to help.

Also my battery cables look pretty torn up is it a possibility it's those?

From your original post, it would be almost impossible to diagnose the cause. You need to do a bit troubleshooting then give this forum as much information as you can. Troubleshooting the car over the internet is very difficult.

if your battery cables are f'd up, i'd address that issue first. Bad grounds cause havoc on cars electrical. I had a problem with my old 325is randomly stumbling and dying out for no apparent reason. turned out that my ground connector on the battery was bad and wasnt getting good connection.
