    Thermostat installed upside down

    Hi there.
I´ve opened the spot where´s the thermostat and noticed that the arrow on him, was pointing down instead of up .
I think the correct position is the arrow pointing up.

What´s the problem of pointing down instead of up?
    (i´ve corrected the position).

Have it done bad to the coolling system?
It didn´t worked in the same way?
(everywhere i read there´s only saying, put with the arrow up, but why??? i don´t know)

    Thanks.

    Sorry for my ignorance.

I think it has to be up because of the little hole at the top.
    I'm guessing for easy bleeding.

The last thermostat I had did not have an arrow and when I installed it coolant leaked all out of the thermostat housing. I replaced it with a thermostat with the arrow lined up and no problems.
