Could you help me identify this wire/cable?

Can you identify this cable that I've circled in the engine bay? Car is a 1988 325is.

Not sure what it does and goes to. Nonetheless, it's pretty chewed up and I want to know if I can get a replacement cable or if I should just replace the broken segment.

    Thanks

It is in fact the ABS. It is 2 jacketed wires inside of another jacket. Looks like the outer jacket on yours is what's chewed up. If the inner jackets around the wires themselves aren't chewed up, you can always just wrap the length of the wire with tape.

I suggest starting 1-2" away from the big orange plug, wrap towards the plug, then wrap back over what you started towards the back of the car. This will keep one end at least from undoing over time.
