    Question about radiator

So I am planning on draining my radiator and just putting new coolant in, but I'm not sure what radiator I have. The previous owners have done some weird things to this car so I wasn't sure if I have just the stock radiator or not. I tried googling the part number on it but couldn't really find anything useful. If you have any insight that would be great. Thanks.

Looks like an early model 325 E30 radiator to me.

Does the upper rad hose connect to the radiator on the drivers' side or passenger side?

Passenger = stock, older e30 rad

Drivers' = stock, newer e30 rad OR it could be an e36 rad or something. Can't tell without more pictures.

But really though, unless your car doesn't cool properly, does it really matter :)

So it is the older model then? I have an '87 so that would make sense. Although, when I reset my service light, I noticed that the thing you mess around with to do that was from a newer model...so I am just kinda confused about what is going on in the engine bay of this car.

No your car is an i.

Not sure what's going on there though... something with the way they've routed those hoses doesn't look right to me. Maybe I've had a 24v for too long...

Who knows. But yes, those hoses do look a bit funky... almost as if the lower hose was meant for a different car, or a later model e30.

haha yea, the lower hose is the wrong one. the previous owner used a different one and zip tied it to make sure it didnt touch anything...
