    Which Bosch pump?

I'm shopping for in-line pressure pumps. ('86 ES)

Is there any reason why I shouldn't use this generic Bosch in-line pump? (#69414)

    http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-69414-Or...ype=automotive

(It even says it fits this car)

....versus the OEM-listed # on Pelican for much more?

Maybe they're the same pump. I don't see a part # on the Pelican page.
    We're on a budget here.
    Thanks

The part # on the pelican page is below the picture.

And from the looks of it, they're not the same.

I see the Pelican #, not Bosch..

The black straps make it look different - I think it's the same one.

From an Alfa Romeo forum 2011:

"...I liked the idea of replacing the Summit pump with a pump from an Alfa 75 so I called Bosch technical support in the US. They said that the modern replacement for the 75 pump was a Bosch 69414. And they talked me out of simply using a used pump from a 75 by saying that this pump would be more reliable and "whisper" quiet.

Installed the 69414 pump yesterday and I am happy to report that it is essentially noiseless. No more thumping noise that can be heard above the sound of the exhaust!..."
