Odd clunk Updated with video 10/9

Just finished my 5 speed swap and have about 30 miles on it, but i have this weird clunk. The car has a brand new drive shaft and guibo so thats out of the question. I got bimmerworld trans mounts and the dont fully tighten, almost as if they are stripped. Any ideas on what it can be, im highly suspecting the trans mounts.

It makes the noise when getting off the gas and making turns.

Could it be just the trans mounts, it's a pretty loud ass clunk.

EDIT: Not the transmission mounts, however something sprung to my mind. It may be my drive shaft center collar nut. I honestly dont remember tightening it, so ill see if i can check it out tonight.

Um, yeah, make sure everything is tight lol.

Doubt it's the center collar nut making the noise, but you definitely wanna make sure it's tight.

I'd look at the trans mount again... also the diff mount. Use a pry bar to move them around... you might be able to get something to make the clunk noise that way.

Also, the diff can have a bit of play and 'clunk'. This may have been going on before but since you had an auto tranny you may not have felt/noticed it.

My 87 is making the same noise during shift. I suspect its the differential. Jack up the rear of your car and spin the tires with your hand, back and forth, you'll hear the clunking sound.

I tried it, it sounds to be the drive shaft collar. Ill drop the exhaust tomorrow and check it out!

Try getting the clunk noise on video while driving... I only skipped through the videos, but all the noises I heard while you were playing with the driveshaft seemed normal.
