    Car dead. Help?

    So...car broke down. Driving along, red check engine turned on and suddenly car would not accelerate. Pressing down gas more made it stutter and hesitate. Pulled to the side, car. dling rough like its about to die.

    I shut it off and turned it on after a bit and pressed the pedal repeatedly. car wouldnt rev at first even with the pedal to the floor but after a few times it started responding. Any ideas what's going on? Bad fuel pump?

      That sounds like it could be a fuel delivery problem. A check of fuel rail pressure should tell.
      The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          Would fuel delivery issues cause the CEL to pop on though? I'd check the tps and cps... sounds like a cps issue to me.
