PS Slipping after Timing belt change

    Hey guys,
i just finished changing water pump and timing belt etc, put a new belt on the power steering pump, when to go for a drive and seemed to be doing a weird pulling and slipping thing, is the belt too tight or loose or something...?

    Thanks

hopefully! Go check and get back.

Sorry, hows my humor? I guess I need more coffee.

Seriously tho, new belts often stretch a bit. Too tight will strain the other pulleys. Too loose will slip. The really don't need to be uber tight, and dont strip the tightener gears. There is a factory recommended amount of deflection required. I even have the tool to measure it! Regards.

Rule of thumb is you should be able to turn the belt 90ยบ and no further. See 0:33 here:
