    Power bleeder cleaning

I picked up a motive power bleeder to make life easier however I can't find denatured alcohol locally. I was told a mild dish soap works but requires a lot of rinsing. Can rubbing alcohol or anything else be substituted instead of denatured alcohol? Thanks for the help!

Uhm... I'm assuming (but really hoping) you're talking about washing the inside of the bottle, right? You could try swishing some brake clean around in there to get the grime out. However, having a dirty bottle isn't really going to affect your brake fluid while bleeding/flushing.

Well I ended up picking up some rubbing alcohol. Hope it goes well. I'll try the bleeder and cleanup tomorrow unless some one has a better cleanup suggestion

Mineral spirits/ paint thinner will work for cleaning. Rubbing alcohol is like 75% water, so...

I realize it is. Water means a long wait before reuse though.... Rubbing alcohol\iso is 70-99.9% Ethanol and is used to sterilize.

Lol not looking for crazy chemicals just a quicker alternative for cleaning that won't damage the power bleeder seals.
