    M20 wont start

I've put another M20 in my car everything done allright and the car cranks and started from the first try

bolted everything together and now it doesn't start anymore
you can hear the click from the starterrelay and thats all (batt is well) and not the "chuchuchuchu" sound .
I've tried with another starter and same problem
and after a while trying i've smoked up a wire I think.

who can help me out my problem ?

    THX

What wire did you smoke? How do you know the battery is well?

Did you reinstall (and check) the starter ground that runs from the frame to the oil pan? If this is cracked, missing or broken, then it won't do much more than what you're describing.

Word, relocate it to the block, rather than the pan.

Is possible it is doing a hardcore back fire and your engine bay is smokey ,that is why you are thinking you fried/burned something, i experienced this before check to make sure you hooked up the engine main ground wire ,usually placed by the engine mounting arms. Also just check over ground wires in general.
