Lost key?

so my name is jaime and i got a 1988 bmw 325i cabrio. i bought the car with out a key for the car. so i took off the door lock and sent it in to get a key made. so im just wondering if the door key is able to crank the igniton.?

Unless either cylinder was changed, yes it's one key.

Yeah i found out today thanks for the info. ill post some pics of the e30 soon

FYI, the dealership can usually order cut keys based off of your VIN.
