Well, you do know its it REVERSE threads right???
Also I have had a tuff tine before, trying to use a shirt wrench on the nut sucks (slip a pipe over the wrench if you can to help) I tried the hammer deal w/ no sucess.
I use a pair of MONSTER channel locks (sell at HD) to hold the pully from moving. Haveing 2 people help but one should be able to hold the channel locks w/ one hand and the wranch in other.
A strap wrench could also be used to hold the pully
    HTH

BTW you can remove the 10mm bolt on the back of the fan blades to take off the bladed sectio which can give more room to work w/

i just made up a tool that bolted to three of the bolts on the pulley. then just hold on to that and put the wrench on the nut and give it a whack with a mallet.

          should do the trick.

You need a fan clutch holder. Worth the $33 if you're going to be doing this more than once...

Those are great...but if your cheap, i made one out of a piece of aluminum and a drill bit for $5.00 from home depot. Just copy that design.

Yes sir. I believe it is just a line. No other markings really. I did my timing belt a while ago and don't remember it all the way. But yea, that sounds aboot right.
