This happened once last week and like a bunch of times today. When i turn on my car, sometimes the heater doesnt work. And i mean nothing works..... no air, no blower, nothing... its almsot like its not getting any power to it. And randomly it would start working on the setting i left it on. There isn't any lag form the blower, or anything like that. IT starts right up like nothing happened. Any info from you guys? I dotn want to loose my heater b/c its cold over here. Thanks, Dave

It sounds like the resistor pack in your blower motor is going. This is a common problem. If you turn the blower up to the highest speed does the blower still cut out? If it works properly your resistor pack needs to be cleaned or possibly replaced. If the blower still cuts out, your problem lies elsewhere. Check what I suggested above first though.

Well.... the thing is, it doesnt actually jsut "cut-off," when i adjust the controls. I woudl turn the car on... and i would have nothign... the whole heating system woudl be dead in the water. Now i would turn it all the way up to 4 so that when it does coem on i could hear it. I would drive around and randomly it would start working again. From that point i could adjust the heck out of the blower speed and it woudl work fine... on all speeds. Come to think of it, i dont think it has ever actually just stopped workign while i was driving. The only time it stops working is when i turn on the car. What do you guys think?E30 Dinan Turbo
