Soo we got our first taste of snow in Milwaukee on Monday and I had an interview in sheboygan, about an hour drive, blower worked fine all the way up but on the way back as I approached Milwaukee I noticed it cut out. It was on the #2 setting so I turned it to #4 and it worked fine, turned it back to #2 and it worked for about 30 sec and cut out, turned it to #4 worked, back to #2 and worked for 30 sec and cut out, turned it back to #4 and it worked for 30 sec and cut out, now it wont work on any settings. I replaced the blower last spring and it wasn't squeaking or anything so it shouldn't be that. #20 fuse is fine. My initial thoughts were that it was the resistor but when that goes out it should still work on #4. Only thing I can think of is the relay in the fuse box or the actual control nob in the HVAC panel. Any thoughts?
I'd kinda like to get this working, have to drive back to MN in a week, and its not going to be getting warm anytime soon.
Edit: So evidently when the relay goes out the power mirrors should also stop working. Going to try them when I get home. Could It be the safety switch in the resistor pack that caused it to cut out after 30 sec? might be the resistor pack after all...
