    Cold+clutch=dead pedal/slave?

I've dont a bit of searching but couldn't track down a straight answer.

    -It was about 20-30degress,
-I went to take off for work and the clutch lost pressure and leaked some fluid underneath.
-clutch has to be pulled up by hand, will not let me in gear

I was told either the clutch space and/or master cyl. Does anyone know exactly which it would be?

The cold is most likely a coincidence...

Also, if you're going to replace your clutch hydraulics, do them both. Odds are that the other is on its way out too. No way of telling which one is bad unless you can actually see which one is leaking... and make sure it's not the rubber line leaking either.

Just checked rockauto... for less than $35 shipped you can get both the master and slave. I'd order them both.

no it's not that bad. There's a hard line coming off the master cylinder (in the engine bay) that runs to a rubber line... it's pretty much a brake hose. Pretty easy to get to and replace.

Do the clutch/brakes share the same fluid resi?

So far I replaced the slave and have no fluid coming out of the bleeder, clutch is still limp.

The master is also shot I'm guessing, any werds of wisdom?

Edit: I Just reinstalled the slave and got fluid out of the bleeder! I'm letting it gravity bleed now.

Gravity bleeding works just fine. Sometimes you need someone to put some pressure on it to squeeze a dingleberry of air out, but most of the time (and for most setups) the gravity method will get the job done.

Where is this pressure you speak of applied? To the pedal, line from resi?

Update: car is drivable but the clutch feels more on/off than it did before. It felt like there was a catch "area" and now it feels like a catch "point".. If that makes sense
