    Lock and ignition help

    Hey Guys,
I just bought a 89 325i coupe and I have 5 keys for it. I bought used lock cylinders for the doors, trunk and ignition but I'm trying to get all the lock cylinders to fit the original key. I went to the dealer today and bought a new key with my VIN and got my Key Code. What I'm trying to figure out is how to rebuild all these lock cylinders to fit this key. I found multiple DIY for rebuilding the drivers door lock but i haven't found any rebuild kits for the other door, trunk or ignition.

Would I be able to use the Drivers door rebuild kit on all 4 of my lock cylinders? or Should i just take them all to a locksmith? Or order all new OE tumblers for the car that match my key code?

Im just trying to get one key for the entire vehicle.

    Appreciate all the help.

One thing you could do is remove each lock cylinder with the key inserted, file down the tumblers on the cylinder, clean the cylinder well, regrease it, and reinstall. Viola, they will all work with your key.
