    Spark Plug Wires

I am thinking about replacing my sparkplug wires. I was looking at the performance ones on BavAuto and I was wondering how they are different from the Bosch replacment. What size are the Bosch wires? Also looked at the BMP wires, those are the best for the money. Who knows about them?

Are your wires bad? Or are you just going for the looks under the hood?

-Not such a great idea. m20's don't like platniums.

i bought a set with grounded capacitor wires for like $200 back in the day. Thought it would make a difference but i was wrong..... After that, i learned my lesson. Just stick with new stock wires. I dont think you will notice a difference with 8mm, but that's just my 2C

The extra wire on those is supposed to make the m20 run more efficient, by somehow seperating the firing of the spark plugs into 2 groups of three. I don't know how it works, but it isn't necessary. There is another thread here somewhere I think which deals with this pretty much in depth........

Yeah, what you're talking about is called an impulse cable.

You're right, some people don't think it's necessary.

I'm just talking about a grounded wire that comes from each wire that you need to bolt to the valve cover ( or some other ground on the car that is nearby )
