    Coolant level sensors won't torque?!

Is anyone else having trouble with this? Both the sensors and the tank are Genuine BMW on two different cars. And by "won't torque," I mean not even finger tight and leaking like sieves.

The threads are not stripped and the plastic is not cracked. My question is this: they are clearly not made correctly - I can pull an old one out of storage and torque it down fine. Are all the new ones just made wrong, or did I get a lucky batch?
