    Random pic request...

Wondering if someone has a car with out a front fender on that could take a pic of the back side of the door jamb? Looking to see where\how the mounting point for the door stop (the stationary part on the body) is mounted. Mine is loose and need to get fixed and I have not found posts about the car side of the door stop.

Hoping to find out it is accessible from the outside with the fender off to get at it with a welder. I'm thinking if your fender is off, standing at the front wheel take a pic of the door hinge area with the door closed.

Thanks in advance and PM me if you want me to try to clarify further.

I don't have a photo but I believe you are right. I've had my fenders off and I'm fairly certain you can access the entire front most area of the door and its hinges.

One of my doors' catches is loose also and I asked my Dad about it. He said when he worked on these in the '80s, the common practice was to tack weld it from the rear side, under the boot.
