Differential flange not symmetrical with subframe opening?

I am currently disassembling a totaled 325is and noticed that the flange on the differential does not sit exactly centered in relation to the "hoop" on the subframe. Is this normal, or could this be a sign that stuff is bent? I have the subframe out and nothing appears to be bent, but I just want to make sure. Any input would be appreciated.

That was where mine was too. From what I understand it's supposed to be there.

The body of the diff is centered, the input shaft is offset as it enters the diff.

Nothing is wrong in your picture.

The whole drivetrain is at an angle in a bmw chassis, on a 2002 the back of the gearbox is about in the center of the car with the front of the engine to the left and the rear of the driveshaft towards the right
