Good place to buy control arms?

My lower control arms need to be replaced. I'm gonna DIY even though I've never done a CA replacement before.

Any tips before I delve in? I've searched on the forum and found a few pointers.

Where is the best place to buy new control arms for my 1990 325i?

I was thinking pelican parts but if you know of a better deal, let me know!

    Thanks! :)

first I'll get the standard reccomendations out of the way. Get Lemforder, and replace your tie-rods and bushings while you're at it.

For places to buy, BMA gets good billing round here. Seems to be FCPGroton sells Lem's too, but not in their ebay auctions. Give em both a call and compare price.

thanks guys. Also anybody know if I need any special tools? So far the only "special" tool I would need is a big frickin hammer. Anything else?

I always try to order parts from company's that sponsor our board. BMA has some of the best prices AND Flying Brick Performence has some killer deals too. (I'm ordering my CA from Flying Brick).

BMA has never let me down. Meyle sucks balls, listen to the lemforder advice. No special tools just a big fucking hammer for the tie rods and yoru imagination for the middle CA bolts.

Go to Flying Brick they have listed for $99.95, which beats BMA by $5-10 (BUT BMA does offer a discount plus free shipping)

cool thanks for the tips guys. :)

Also since I have never done control arms before, what would you rate the difficulty on these? I don't even know what a tie-rod is but I'm sure i'll figure it all out once the new parts come in and search the net for info on replacement. It's a 3rd car so just doing it for expereince as bad as it really needs it.

From 1-5, 1 being the easiest, what would you rate the difficulty? (not counting the BFH parts)
