    Cut MAF Wiring?

So a friend of mine just picked up an e46 that has had the wiring just absolutely ruined as it turns out, some idiot decided to cut and splice damn near every wire in the engine bay , most notable being the MAF wire/s.
There are one or two wires that have been cut and crimp connected for no apparent reason. I would assume that this will mess with the MAF reading (car is running hella rich) and was wondering if soldering the connection would help, or how would we go about swapping the pigtail out so that the current is all the same?
    Thanks!

a clean solder joint will add little in the way of resistance. A bad dry joint will add plenty though, so it depends on how well you can solder.
Just a little project im working on

Properly crimped or soldered will add little to no resistance to the circuit. Your running rich is likely caused by something else.

Another option would be to get a new (used) engine harness and swap it out.
