Strange signal problem. Only cancels on left turns

I took a video of the problem so it would be easier to explain. For an explanation of what I do in the video, you can read the description on youtube. The problem I am having is that the turn signal switch only cancels on left turns. It won't cancel on right turns, I need to manually cancel the signal.
Can anyone give me some insight of what is wrong here? The disengage pin works in both directions when I manually flip it with a screw driver. I recently pulled the dash and the problem occurred on the first drive after re-installing the dash.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine does this after breaking the switch in the indicator stalk when taking the dash out. Caught on the stalk when removing it and bent it down. I just flipped it up thinking I just bumped it, but I definitely broke it. Still works the indicators, just doesn't cancel like it should.

Have a new stalk to put in this week.
Just a little project im working on

Yours cancels in one direction? Or it doesn't cancel at all? It is the same pin for both directions, why would it cancel in one if it were broken?

When you say a new stalk, you mean the little pin that sticks out when you flip the switch? Or the entire assembly?

That just about has to be a worn turn signal switch assembly.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I removed my steering wheel and took another look at it and the arm extends fully for both directions (left and right). I then needed to use my car so I re-installed my steering wheel and drove it. It magically began working! Hopefully it stays that way, If not I'm going to attempt a dis-assembly and cleaning of the switch before I buy a new one since I am flat broke.

          Thanks for the responses, r3v!
