Need Help Re-Installing Turn Signal Auto Cancel Parts

Hey guys. Following a new dashboard install on my '91 318is, the auto cancel function on the turn signal stalk doesn't work. I have parts number 5 and 6 in hand, and I assume they are what I need to make the auto canceling turn signals work again. I've searched but can't find any clear picture or explanation of where it is that these parts go. Any help appreciated!

Parts 5 & 6 are for the airbag. There is a metal piece on the column that cancels the turn signals. The cancel mechanism is in the turn signal switch.
