    Whats this? (under driver dash)

Metal ecu-type box, big and metal with a big white plug and a long thick black cord. Right underneath the foglight switch inside the driver knee bolster

My digicam has dead batteries, but if you guys need a pic I'll just have to grab batteries. Hopefully someone can understand my description.

Is it something important? can I take it out?

If I unplug it will it mess up my brakes, or just disable ABS?

My ABS worked one single time, and that was a few years ago. Since then I've done numerous "over the limit" braking tests, and have locked them up with no ABS pulsing.
As far as I'm concerned, my ABS is broken, and even if it isn't, I don't like it anyway.

Can I just unplug the computer, tuck the wire out of the way, and call it a day?

Isn't the cruise computer above the motronic ecu, on the passenger side?
Thats what someone told me in another thread, and I've ripped out my cruise control anyway.

Your brakes will work fine without the ABS Control Unit. Rip is out if you don't want it or if your ABS is already non-functioning; it won't hurt the car.

Its in the way of something i want to put there.
And I need the weight reduction, that 1 lb. I remove will offset the 400-500 I'm adding.
