    momo wheel question

I went home this weekend and took off the stock airbag wheel (forsale by the way) and put on a momo fighter i got for christmas, although i did run into problems. I cranked the bolt down and i still have play in the wheel. Maybe i dont have it on correctly but i think i do, i can move it back and forth (pull towards me and push towads the instrument cluster) about 1/2 an inch, there is also a very slight play left to right. Maybe someone could give me a few pointers.

Is there a spacer between the column and the hub that im missing? Or, did i just need to push it in hard?

    Any info would be awesome

There should be a MOMO adapter specifically for the E30 that you need. I think they usually go for about $40 or $50

I take it you have/had an airbag? The spline is different for airbag cars and needs to have a spacer (or washers) installed to eliminate the gap and allow the nut to tightened down the wheel properly.

ahh this makes sense now...I did have an airbag and the bug didnt come with any spacer/washer to eliminate gap. I take it ill have to ask the people at momo about it unless anyone has done their own?

          thanks for the info

I had the same problem. 2-3 thick washers from home depot did the trick...
