    Shift linkage question

So I'm trying to figure out if the small connector that connects the selector rod to the input shaft on the tranny could have play in it. It would make sense that it could. I just need to know because that's the only piece I haven't bought yet to replace as far as linkage goes :)

Oh yeah, almost forgot - there's a bushing that holds the rear end of the shift carrier arm (late style aluminum arms) - is there a replacement available, and how do you replace it?

This is a bracket/bushing combo that mounts to the transmission tunel. Can be a pain due to space if I remember correctly. Alternatively, AutoSolution makes a custom bracket that takes even more of the play away. It is a bit pricey but might be worth it to you. Call then and speak with Roland.

Yes, buy that piece. It is where 80 percent of shifter slop is in my experience (2 e30s same slop). BMA sells oem for around 20 bucks. While you are replacing it, discard those yellow spacers and put metal washers in place. Makes it feel nice and tight.
