    318i m20 engine swap help??

I am transplanting a m20 into my 84 318i. I have the engine tranny suspension and exhaust on. I am trying to wire the 2 harnesses together does anyone have the colour codes for the 318i?.I have them for the 2.5. I had one posted for me on another forum but it is gone now. I only need the colours from the connector beside the fuse box.
    thanks

IT should be. It was made to go from an 85 318i chassis to a 325i Engine, you'd need to wire in a couple wires like the tach single(Fred has a write up on this). I cut up a couple Engine harness and what not so it will just plug into the 318i fues box then the 325i wiring harness will plug into it.
I'll post the wire-wire scheme latter today.

                Ya
Ok This is From The Engine side of the plug on the 318i to the Chassis side of the plug on a 325i Engine.
                318i-325i
                White/Blue-White/Blue
                Blue/White-Violet/green
                Brown/green-Black/Brown
                Brown-Brown
                Violet/green-Violet/red(both large guage)
                Blue-Blue
                Blue/Violet-Blue/yellow
                Green/yellow-Green/yellow(both large guage)
                Greeb-Green(both large guage)
                Black/yellow-Black/yellow and (smallguage) black/green
                Left on the 325i side You'll have a Yellow/White wire(Fuel rate ouput)
                Black(Engine speed output)
                Brown/black(Check Engine light)
Plus some other wires but I never found there functions.
I never tested this plug and made the conections based on the Feature that wire did and not it's color.

No prob, keep us updated and remeber what side of the plug I gave the wiring color from as sometimes the wiring color changes after the plug.

Yes I ran into that already. I am hoping I can still get the gauges to work including the feul milage gauge. Some of the other wires are to things my car dosent have.
