front drivers side wheel locking up

hey guys, i just got done replacing my front control arms, bushings and tie rods on my E30 and when i pulled out of the garage my front drivers side wheel locked up. when the wheel locked up i put the car in reverse and it freed the wheel for about 30 feet and then the wheel locked up again. i didn't take the caliper off and the brake lines are new. i haven't looked into it yet since my car is outside and i haven't been able to get into the garage. the ABS system is out of the car so that rules that out. there is no play of humming sounds coming from the wheel when i drive it or drove it. is there anything i should look for when i tear into this? has anyone dealt with this problem before? thanks for the help.

Sounds like a sticking caliper, but it could be a bad soft line.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
