    E30 m-tech 1 steering wheel wobble

I replaced my airbag wheel on my 1992 e30 Cabrio with a M-tech 1 wheel awhile back and it seems to have slight lateral wobble. Installed in this order spring-small washer-snap ring-wheel-spacer(32-31-1-120-260)-washer-nut. I feel like im missing a spacer between the wheel and dash or something. Using original airbag turn signal and washer stalks still. Any help would be great.

you need 2 spacers one on each side of the wheel or you can't tighten it down. Also change all stalks to regular ones because your fingers will keep hitting the stalks when you turn the wheel. At least for me

do i use another of the same spacer (32-31-1-120-260) on the other side or is there a different spacer? i thought i tried the 2 spacer combo and it caused my horn not to work and my wheel lock not to engage.

As an update swapped out the snap ring that holds the spring in behind the steering wheel. This solved the issue of the lateral wobble.

Did you ever have am issue pushing the wheel on all the way? I first replaced the Airbag wheel with a Sport wheel but had to remove the slip ring completely because the fasteners would hit the white push pin at the 11 o'clock position upon turning the wheel. Then I tried to install the MTech1 wheel but can't seem to push it on all the way. Key is in ignition (lock cylinder in retracted position). What might be the cause?

Old thread....OP you removed the snapping/lockring entirely or replaced it?
