    Want: "independent wash"

Is there a way to keep the wipers from being activated when I use the windshield washers? It always wipes more than I want and I would rather just activate the wipers manually. Any ideas?

Looks like you can probably just unpin the washer pump ground wires from the power distribution box where they connect to the wiper control unit (Brown/Black, terminal 85).

.....or, for something more convenient and permanent, you could pull out the wiper control unit and break off terminal 85

You could just pull the stalk quickly a few times to spray without activating the wipers, then push down on it to use the manual wiper operation.

That's how I do it most of the time but it still activated the wipers periodically. Just wanted a more dependable solution.

I'm always a fan of things that don't remove original functionality. I can say that occasionally wiping a dry windshield won't hurt the wipers that much.

you could also run a separate switch grounding the Brn/Blk wire at the pump and install a doide in the return wire to the module so it doesnt ground pin 85 and it will run the pump and not trigger the timer on the module(normal stalk function would still work), a lot of work i know but there is always a solution .i just agree with above posts just letting wipers run is easier......
