    sensitive fuel guage readings

earlier today when taking a long right hand curve, my gage read 1/4 tank after the curve (just prior to this it was near the 3/4 mark when I started out at home)

Is this common? is my gage screwed?
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Common. Flag only needs to go up when it's jumping around like a 2 year old drinking his weight in redbull, or when it's constantly off by a considerable amount.

That is a common problem with cars that have the 55L tank (dual pump configuration. In a right hand corner fuel flows over the drive shaft tunnel hump and into the left side of the tank and away from the level sensor in the right side. There is a crossover tube between the halves of the tank that allows fuel to flow back when the g forces subside. Normally that doesn't take long and you won't see the gauge move much, if at all, since it reacts slowly. But if there is rust in the tank the tube can be obstructed and it can take quite while for the levels in both sides of the tank to equalize.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
