No starts, drives, jerks then dies

My girlfriends E30 is having some problems. She was pulling into the neighborhood and it was jerking really bad. I came to meet her because she tried leaving and it died. I started messing with it, started up went to drive it sputtered and jerked short and heavily then died. Now it wont start.

It does turn over and crank. I will try a new CPS.

Went to inspect, sure enough the Water Pump Pulley ate through the CPS wire.

Same issue here!! Stranded right now

What's weird is no crank. When I reconnect battery I get a irratic idle then dies and no crank again.?

Stomp test 1444 = no issues haha

Yeah, I tend to zip tie it off for that same reason.
