    vacuum hose supplier

on a mission to replace all rubber hoses under the hood on an M42.

currently working on order list w/ Patrick @ BMA for water/coolant/heeter hoses.

In regard to vacuum hoses, is one best off going to an auto parts store (NAPA, Advance, Checker, etc.) and buying hose by linear foot?

thats what i did, there is a couple of the prebent ones i would recomend getting, but most of them you can just buy by the foot.

Just did my M42 when i did the re-build in october. ALL coolant hoses including the heater hoses (except two main ones) cost $104 from the dealer. The small coolant hose going to the exp. tank, from the block distribution part was $40. the plastic distribution part (attached to block) was $28.....replace it 'cause it will break if your engine is old.

As for the vacuum lines, you can get them at the dealer, i forgot the price but it was well worth it to buy the factory hoses otherwise it will look like shit under your hood. the vac. line going to the fuel regulator is standard bulk line (forgot which size but once you see it you'll know what im talking about). and there are a couple short (3" or less) pieces of hose under the intake boot that you can use standard bulk hose on to. dont forget to get the gasket for the upper intake manifold, it is way eisier to change the hoses with it off, and it only takes like 10 min. to pull off. hope this helped.
