Another Steering Rack Question

I finally got my steering rack in today. What I ordered was a steering rack for a 1997 Z3 and the tag on the rack says 1995 318i. Do these cars use the same steering rack?

Or did I just get fux'd?

If I had to guess, i'd say its the same.

I've not seen a Z3 steering rack in person so I don't know how to tell the difference..

According to realoem, you just got taken. Call them up, it's not the same.

I found out it's the same as a 98 328i. I'll be calling them ASAP. A plus though, it came with almost brand new tie rods.

After carefully reading the auction I realized it was my fault for not verifying the specific model Z3 steering rack he had available. His auction said 3.2l 98 Z3 which shares the same with these cars:

BMW 328i '99 Power Rack & Pinion; Cpe and Conv
BMW M3 '95-99 Power Rack & Pinion
BMW Z3 '98-02 Power Rack & Pinion; 3.2L

All are 3.2 turn to lock. I'm not gonna bitch about .5 turn to lock difference for the price I got this rack for it's nice and will do the job better than the stock E30 rack.
