My 'helpers' did not note the orientation of the caps other than what number they belong to (so like their location, but not their direction). So Im wondering, on the main bearing caps, should the bearing tang line up with the other shell's tang? Or should there be a tang on one side of the block, and a tang on the other?
My other question is, I bought kolbelschmitt bearings or whatever from BMA, I have an extra cap side thrust bearing, and 2 extra block side shells, and one other cap side shell. I thought it was odd that the original config, only uses one half of a thrust shell on the block side... Is this typical? RealOEM shows it that way so I figured it was...
Any help before I go out to the shop today would be excellant!
