    1988 supereta wont start.

    So no spark, no fuel.

    -checked timing belt
-checked and swapped cps-(488 ohm at rest)from m30
-swapped fuel pump/main relay on strut tower
-check fuse in line on positive cable
    -just cranks and cranks.

Have a whole IS for parts swapping(m30 swap going on)... been searching for 2days. Need this car for dd. Ran when parked.

Please point me in the right direction.

No spark and no fuel will be:

No timing data to the DME
    A DME power/ground problem
    A bad DME
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Can i use the DME from my 88325is? Is the cps the same from a 91' m30?

Swapped ecus. No dice. Read about half the Bentley manual and no answers there either.

I don't know if the CPS from an M30 is the same. Get a new OE CPS, not some off brand.

                Check crank position sensor:

A timing light is a great tool to have laying around too (HF FTW!)

I have a timing light but how does that help in this situation?
