Airbag car and non-airbag pedals

Hey all,

I am in the middle of a auto to manual swap on my 91 325i. I have a set of pedals from an 89, non-airbag car. Will these work on my airbag-equipped 91?

I have heard somewhere they are different somehow? Not sure how tho
