Yeah im callin it, its a bad HG. The pressure test wasnt great, just tried to bleed again and overheats instantly tons of air in the system. Also now the engine is stumbling badly probably from a leaking HG getting worse from repeated over heating.

Great. Should have just sent it to the machine shop in the beginning. O well, im out about 300 in oil, coolant, thermostats, gaskets (which i will now most likely have to replace again) and unfortunately considerable time.

You could test for a head problem by doing a leak down test with 170-180psi air. But there is really no need to do so. The coolant fountaining out of the overflow tank when you rev the engine is sufficient proof.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Sorry to here that it didn't work out.
I guess I got lucky with not having to tear mine down. Crossing my fingers, it has been running for over a year now.
I hope you get yours running soon!

Well, it turned out to not be the head gasket. (I still am paranoid though lol) I was literally about to pull the head and i realized that you e30 guys convert the coolant temp sender to the m20 one which will not work on the e36 gauge - makes it read high.

So i slapped in a new m50 temp sender, and away i went.
