Euro clock question

I'm installing a euro clock into my 92 vert and I'm running into a bit of a problem. The clock works fine but it doesn't fit back into the 13 button OBC cutout, It's supposed to just pop in without the use of the 4 backing screws. Has anyone else ran into this?

There is a bracket that the clock pops into. That bracket uses those 4 screws to hold it to the HVAC panel.
