    A/C Pressure Switches

So It looks like my E30 has two pressure switches on the dryer, one for high and one for low.

The E30 R134a retrofit guide says that I need to splice a connector to enable use of the new high/low pressure sensor.

Yet, this is not made note of anywhere on the conversion DIY here. Is this a necessary step? Can I get that plug end at the dealer (P/N
    1 378 400)?

When using the current combined hi/low pressure switch on a car that originally came with dual pressure switches, modification of the car's wiring is required.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks for the quick response. Can I just splice the old connector onto the new pressure switch since I don't have the female plug that matches?

      Edit:

For anyone wondering, don't forget to order 2 of part #61 13 0 007 442 for that plug terminal.
