    Harness through firewall

I'm I talking MS and I think my vacuum line is getting pinched where I ran it through the rubber grommet where the main harness passes through the firewall. I want to just cut out the grommet whichever will make future wiring easier and solve my current problem but I'm wondering if I need to keep it sealed. What do you guys use there if you install a new harness?

Let me know if that was too confusing, I can take a photo.

Use a piece of metallic tubing where the vacuum line passes through the grommet.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

that should do the trick, I was just hoping there was a good solution to just cutting that whole thing out so i had more room in there for future headaches

You need the grommet to keep water out. Unless you want to weld the hole up and then install a multi-pin through hull connector, there is no other way to do it. Just use a metal tube like Jim suggested.
