I installed a new throttle cable a couple months ago and it fit perfect, the threaded plastic piece at the throttle body was screwed in almost the whole way so I had plenty of room to adjust it and make it tighter. Now that i just put a new engine in even though I used the same throttle body that was on the other motor I have to adjust the plastic screw thing the whole way out to the point that is about to fall of just to get the cable to have no slack and still need to tighten it up a hair more. I just don't see how the cable could have stretched like that or ami missing something

Make sure the cable isn't bound up somewhere, something could've happened when installing the new engine. Also, what engine was it? Might be a difference in the old throttle body. -
Is the bracket the cable attaches to bent? Did you put it where the cruise control cable is supposed to go on accident?Comment
